4 ways to get the best out of yourself in quarantine

Remember all those days when we took going out and hanging out with our friends for granted. Never thinking twice before throwing a smooth excuse and getting away with the chances of socializing. Ya, how are y'all catching up now?

Well, there's never just one shade of grey, is there? Despite the fact that you're denied any sorts of outdoor activities, socializing and traveling. You in fact have been given a golden opportunity to invest in yourself; something that felt so unattainable. This is undoubtedly a calamity that has caused a lot casualties, but this is the break we all needed at some point of our lives. We all deep down admit that the world needed this. (The break, not the disease). So here are a few things we can do during this quarantine period(do not  ever expect 'binge-watching netflix to be included on this list):

  1.  So, binge-watching a series on netflix has to top the list:

You cannot really expect the 21st generation to go straight 3 months without destroying their sleep schedule and getting their mind stuck to a fictional plot to a point where they start dreaming about it. Yes, its the netflix club peeps. What did you expect me to do? Preach about self care and living a disciplined life approaching towards spiritual wholeness? Hell no.
Netflix has never disappointed when the time has called for entertainment and "chill". Of course on a serious note one cannot/shall not spend his/her entire holidays stuck on the screen, as it really turns out to become, what I like to call it a 'Brain-Drain'. There's nothing better than a warm clean bed and a dish full of  crisp snacks, or as I like to call it 'SnEX in bed'.(apologies).
  2.  Learning simple yet new skills:

At times like this, many people kick off with the right spirit. They set a target, which is the first and the most important step, but they find themselves extremely ungifted or incapable to complete it. Basically they give up. And why does that happen? Because people often have the habit to get the maximum return with minimum investment. In order to actually feel capable and competent, start with skills that are easy to learn and apply. Skills like; cooking something that requires more than boiling and adding the ready-made flavours, or growing and nurturing a little plant of your own, or I don't know maybe writing a blog. In this way, when you complete these little tasks, you feel fit to take it to the next level. You will now be able to involve yourself in learning something that actually brings the best out of you; like learning a new language, computer programming, learning a new instrument or taking a course on cinematography.

    Also, Don't be this guy.

  3.   Revive your long-lost talents and hobbies:

As teens, we all had hobbies that we enjoyed whole-heartedly. Time was infinite at that point of time. And as we grew up, these hobbies got left behind in the smoke of starting a serious and independent life. It gets very discouraging as an adult when you try to renew those hobbies only to see its no more your cup of tea. So if you're able to find out that 'Yes! I am still able to hit that C chord, its just a bit scratchy', you get on with it. In a matter of few days, your renewed results will be promising. Humans like to be occupied, and if that isn't the case, the human mind starts the most dangerous operation - 'Over-thinking'. I'll have another blog about it.                                                                                                                                                   P.S. :- Sleeping is not a hobby.(even if it was its nowhere near being a lost one.)
    NO!

  4. Get in shape:

Looking at the mirror and realizing how better things would've looked if you could have decided against all the junk food you ate is equally saddening and regretful as Sirius Black's death in the 'Order of the phoenix'.  So there's no better time than this to give it a go. You see if you can't devote 30 minutes of your day to yourself you actually have no right to sit their and question God for his "unrighteous" creations. In-fact, the resistance for the ongoing virus requires a healthy immune system. You might as well come out of it free of your insecurities and hesitancy.
    I know right?

So, if you're able to implement these 4 practices in this quarantine , you are definitely coming out as someone new and believe me when i say this: You'll be respected.
    Can I get an Amen?
